Wildflowers
I love wildflowers: their resilience, their ability to grow in unwelcoming places like roadsides and disturbed or abandoned sites. I celebrate these delicate but hardy flowers in my glass practice. Images are created by painting the surface with enamel, and removing material to leave the design.

These white asters shine like the stars they are named for, against the black enamel background on this small drinking glass. Clear glass with black enamel. 12 cm h x 8 cm dia.
Wild morning glory tumbles across the ground and races up stems, twigs, and fencing, lifting fresh white trumpet flowers to the sun every morning. Clear glass with black enamel. 17 cm h x 10 cm dia.
